(A) 100
(B) 200
(C) 300
(D) 400

Answer (C)

When you rewrite 1/10 of 1/10 of 10,000 is subtracted from 1/10 of 4000, you get this

(1/10 (4000)) - (1/10 (1/10(10000))

Solving the inner fraction first
400 - (1/10 (1000))
400 - 100
=300
